The Via Faciam Foundation is the nonprofit philanthropic arm of The Seneca, dedicated to expanding opportunities for women through programming, mentorship, practical support, and long-term community partnerships.
Through Via Faciam, members and alumnae of The Seneca extend the strength of their community outward, connecting women at Harvard and beyond with resources, relationships, and opportunities that support their futures.

The Meaning of Via Faciam
The name Via Faciam comes from The Seneca’s motto, Aut viam inveniam aut faciam: “I shall either find a way or make one.”
Via faciam means “I shall make a way.” The name reflects our commitment not only to helping women navigate existing opportunities, but also to creating new pathways when the resources, networks, or support they need do not yet exist.

The Via Faciam Foundation advances opportunity, mentorship, leadership, and practical support for women at Harvard and throughout the greater community.
Our work is grounded in the belief that women thrive when they have access to supportive networks, leadership opportunities, professional resources, and communities invested in their futures.

Via Faciam invests in programs and partnerships that help women access community, professional resources, leadership development, and support systems that can endure long after a single event or moment of need.

Who We Serve
